….I don’t need help in changing my pole to spinny mode, but just some tips on how to adjust your body….I learned in statis mode, and while I really love it, I keep watching videos of all you girls in spinny and it’s sooo beautiful…But for me -spinning is just me hanging on for dear life. I feel like I have no control.

For those who learned in static and can convert to spinny and back with ease – how the heck are you doing it???
How should I start? Or..am I just a wierdo *very possible* that can’t get it?…

Spinny takes some getting used to. At first I couldn’t control the speed at all! The thing to remember is that you don’t need momentum when you’re on spin mode, you can pretty much just pick yourself up off the floor and you’ll be good to go! I find that it takes a lot more grip and forearm strength and you need to really make sure you have good lat strength so that you don’t hurt your shoulders. Basically, if you go into a spin you don’t need to swing the leg around or push hips into a fall like you do on static mode, it’s much more controlled otherwise you get too much speed! It takes some playing around until you get used to it, just keep at it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

When I was learning how to dance on our spinning pole, I just jumped on and held on for dear life https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I didn’t worry about getting onto it properly or looking graceful, i just leapt on it and didn’t let go… eventually I got used to the momentum and was able to control my movements better I think. (Sometimes i still run up to it and leap on like a maniac)… WWWeeeeEEEEE! (Yes, I come with sound effects.)
