So its been a little over a month since I auditioned at that new club. Their grand opening weekend is Friday September 13 & Saturday September 14 and I'm more nervous than EVER. I called last week to ask if they started calling ppl back for employment and they said they'd already hired the ppl they were interested in. I started to feel bad at that point, but I asked if that included the dancers….they said they hadn't gotten to the dancers yet. While I felt slightly relieved I couldn't relax just yet…til I saw the dancers needed ad on backpage.com for their club. Now I keep thinking to myself "what if my audition wasn't good enough or they didn't like any of the girls they've see so far?" I'm so nervous and worried, I'm about to grind my teeth til I don't have any https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif. Ladies I need all the encouragement and prayer I can get…I NEED the money so bad…I just have to move out of my mom's apartmenthttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I know the wait sucks & is nerve wracking, so hang in there! However, Strip Clubs are constantly hiring, they never stop at a quota or specific # of girls, so don’t take the ad as meaning anything other than that at this point.

Give it another week, then call back & try to speak with a manager/gentleman who auditioned you if you can. Persistence is key 😉

Just as a precaution though, make sure you have a couple of other job options in the works, in case this doesn’t work out, better to be prepared jic.

This is a new club? Like, brand brand new?

I'm not from Miami but my experience with reboots and brand new clubs has been God awful. People don't know the club exists for like, two years, even in highly populated areas. They go through management like crazy, and they promise all these lofty things that will never happen. I worked at a major chain for four months and saw no improvement…a year later not a thing about the building has changed except the sign. And not just that club, but the three other reboots/new clubs I've worked at since I've started dancing are the same way.

A club is always hiring. They can never have "too many" girls. If they tell you they aren't hiring, it means one of two things; they aren't hiring for the shift you told them you could work (my club refuses to hire girls for night unless they are a 10/10) or you don't fit the image of the type of girl they want to work there. Some clubs only want white, 5'5" goes to the gym 6 times a week, saline in their chest and orange blond girls. Some clubs prefer diversity. Research your club before you apply.

I agree with cali; there are other places to work. I'd go looking for them, because start-ups are neither good money, nor stable money, from my experience.
