I just wanted to share this with you all.

As was mentioned in a blog by Starsky, KT Coates has some great ab exercises on her channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/KTCoates). These exercises are actually meant to get ready for the pole after pregnancy, but I've found them to be very helpful to improving the strength of my lower abs. My inverts have become more effortless with the help of these "Sahrmann" exercises.

She basically explains them very well, and builds up through 5 levels, so you can start at the level most suited to your current strength. They are easy to do, and don't take too much time which is always a plus.

Lol, I'm starting to sound like a saleswoman. But I really recommend giving it a go! You might have to subscribe to her channel to be able to see the vids.

    So… good luck!!

Very interested in seeing her ab stuff.  Second link worked but didn't bring me to her ab exercises vid.  Do you remember the name of the vid you saw?  Thanks in advance.

Chem is right, those are the ones I mean. If you can't see them you probably need to subscribe to her channel first to get access.

Would these be considered ab or CORE exercises???  … I am not allowed  to do ab excercises just yet, after a tummy tuck with muscle repair, but can do CORE.

Hello Anna… if you just had a tummy tuck (how long post op are you now?) with ab repair you REALLY shouldn't be doing core exercises – abs are part of your core https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif you really need to wait a few weeks at least.

I know of which I speak as I had one as well as a hysterectomy. PM me if you want to talk – but please don't rush it…going back too early could undo some of the ab repair you just had done.

I am 6 months post op… at 4 months was cleared for anything but crunches… But haven't done much of anything for fear of hurting the repair.  Doctor says core work ok, but no issolated ab work, if that makes any sense at all.

Hey Ladies I'm glad you found the link for KT Coates's exercises. They're awesome and they have really helped me with inverts and learning more advanced tricks. I do them everyday and what a difference! It even helps with lower back pain. I used to throw my back out all the time and since doing these everyday I haven't had back problems in months( : I've also being doing deadlifts with an easy curl bar and about 20pounds and it's making a huge difference too. What I love about dead lifts is it's one exercise that works most of the major muscles(abs, shoulders, butt, everything). I like to find new exercises to throw into my mix so I will try and post anything I find in my blog or here on the forum.

These look like awesome exercises for your core! Before my pole addiction, I was (and still am) totally and utterly addicted to PILATES! It is great for core strength! You become strong, but in a very LEAN way with pilates. These vids are the very basics of pilates! 🙂
