When I first started on my 45mm chrome pole I had grip problems. I tried the itac2 grip aid but hated it. I purchased some gloves with nylon palms. These were exactly what I needed and they helped my hands blister faster so after about two weeks of poling with the gloves I no longer needed them. Well now my hand grip is still great but my legs are taking a beating and the brushes are slowing me down. So I’m thinking of trying the same concept with some type of nylon or latex legging to use to keep my progress up focusing more on core strength with the added grip from the leggings while my bruises heal up. And if the sweat helps my leg areas while working out in the leggings like the gloves helped my hands I’m hoping I can improve super fast with the same results. Has anyone used any kind of legging as a grip aid? I know others have used gloves but I can’t find anything about anyone trying it out with legs other than those thigh, knee, and ankle things. I want leggings so that the heat turns to sweat to help tighten my skin up as I continue to work out and cause friction between the legging and my skin. It’s the perfect recipe for tougher skin faster. What do u think? Suggestions? Anything!

Hmm that’s really interesting about the gloves! First thought would be something like PVC leggings? SO want to try this now!

it is easy to find latex and pvc leggings online. not sure that they will toughen up the skin on your legs, but may help you stick to the pole. you may not be able to slide at all , even when you want. I have seen a video of someone pole dancing in a pvc full body suit somewhere.

You can pole dance in PVC, I’ve done it. See this vid about 2 min from start. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/edit/50aa6dc9-6944-4ef3-8467-673e0ac37250
I’d love to do it again but personally I’d not do it mostly for the grip. I just happen to love the wet-look. I’d also prefer leggings instead of those I’m wearing here. If you’ll find any good ones please report from where you got them :). While the pants grip, just like robin I don’t think it will help you get tougher skin. When you sweat the pants will slip on your skin so it’s not creating friction between those surfaces. It can also be painful if the fabric folds in leg hangs and other tricks (well in that sense it could make your skin tougher).

Regarding latex…it does not seem to be for pole. First of all, latex isn’t nice and shiny until the surface has been lubricated, and that you don’t want on the pole. The matt surface just looks boring. I’ve got some latex socks and tried them unlubricated on the pole, but I didn’t even find them grippy. Moreover, to be able to put latex clothing on, you need to prepare your body with lub or talcum, so you’re probably going to be quite slippery on hands etc when they are finally on. I didn’t know about the body preparation, you bet it took a while to get those socks on! Just saying this since latex was mentioned.
