I have just got my Aysha, but I notice the various grips used. I am very comfortable with split grip in many moves, but I’ve read it’s a more difficult grip? What are the (any) pros and cons to all the types of grips used in Aysha/ Straight Edge?

I do my Ayesha with split grip. It just feels more stable to me. I think it also depends on how you get into it. If you kick/cartwheel into it, twisted grip would probably work better.

Generally speaking I think most people consider Forearm and Elbow to be easiest. Split grip is very common and I also find it the easiest. Cup grip is challenging/advanced but an alignment neutral alternative to twisted grip which is not even possible for some people and can cause chronic injuries with long term use in others.

I also find split grip the most stable, and easiest grip… Elbow grip is solid, but it requires a higher level of trust I think… I also find it much harder to get the legs more parallel to the floor in elbow grip because of flexibility. :/

Clarification… The elbow grip is a solid grip… not that I have it super solidly 😛 Def no boasting about my elbow grip here. haha
