HELP! Need pole opinions please!!!
Posted by Pisces Poler on July 26, 2011 at 9:23 amI have a chrome Xpert xpole and I am less than happy with it.
I am in Australia and would love some opinions on different removable poles.
These are the ones I have found:
*Pussycat pole
*Bobbi’s pole
*Polecatz poleHas anyone owned any of these or know someone who has?
I will make another thread soon with photos of my 5 month old xpole and show you how much of a disaster it is.

Anyone? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Trying to bump my own thread here – come on guys! PLEEEEEASE!

The brass Xpoles are available now, but they are only in 45mm…..
Otherwise, I have heard good things about Bobbi's Poles……
I have danced on SS removable lil mynx…..It was ok. But for my hands, it is slick,,,,,
-
I liked my Lil Mynx, though the SS is very slippery. They have enamel ones, too, though, but they can be very grippy, I hear.
What happened with your Xpert? I have a TG Xpert and love it! If there's a problem, won't they exchange it?
-
@mysfit- Thanks, I don’t want an Xpole at all – I have one and it’s a peice of crap! I feel ripped off and dissapointed but that is a while other story.
I’m just looking for other pole reviews, thanks for the advice on the others 🙂 -
@poleskivvies – thanks, is the enamel lil minx the colored pole?
I am waiting on a reply from xpole, they are happy to replace some of the pole but not all of it (excluding base and dome, those parts are fine).
Hoping to hear back today. -
@poleskivvies, both xjoints are stuffed, locking pins on them are basically flat, B pole & 125mm extention are both stuffed- major corrosion happening inside poles where pin sits- A pole is also corroding but xpole don’t think it’s bad enough to replace it. I disagree.
-
Oh my god, that is horrible! I've heard bad service problems with them before – I guess it's the luck of the draw how they respond. I wouldn't want to deal with them further, either.
The enamel Lil Mynx are the color ones, yes. Pole Danzer also makes good permanent poles (so recommends a friend, although she isn't fond of their removable poles). Have you tried Platinum Stages or Rpole? I've heard mix things about them and am not even sure they are in Australia …

I would recommend the Lil Mynx poles! I am hearing more and more great reviews of them and also their customer service and manufacturing process. More and more complaints are coming down the wire towards the new xpert poles. 🙁 They will corrode and I have friends whose TG is completely worn through. I too had to send my new TG pole back due to gouges in the finish. The Lil Mynx colored poles are the way I'd go now. 😀 Good Luck!

Thanks guys, yeah it’s pretty bad hey. I’m super shitty about it. Wether they replace it or not, the thing being is that it shouldn’t happen to begin with!
Thanks for the advice on lil minx, I have mega sweaty hands so a grippy enamel would probably suit me nicely!
I would be going with the removable spin option, how do you find it to put up etc?
The other concern I have is how sturdy it is?
I do like the dome on the xpole for stability (pretty much it’s ONLY good feature lol). Does the lil minx ever slip or fall? -
I love my lil mynx. Unfortunatly, I cannot use it since I live in an apartment where I cannot screw into studs. When I move into a house I am retireing my x pole, busting out my lil mynx, and bying a pole danzer brass pole. I have had good customer service so far, but due to the several issues I have sad so far, adn the fact that the joints tend to loosen and are so easy to strip, over tighten, etc, it scares me.

The LM poles have a ceiling mount that looks like a planter hook:
http://www.lilmynx.com/shop/additional-ceiling-mount-1/
It scres in with one screw into a joist. The poles have a slightly smaller inner tube that you twist to extend and it is pressure mounted, so you put the end of the tube over the mount, pull the pole up (from the bottom, move the pole into a vertical position, and "drop" it into position. It is very secure. If you have it on carpet, all you need in the pole and the mount. If you have it on tile or wood floors, then you need the non-skid floor pad.

Heard amazing things about pussycat poles! They were a bit more than I wanted to spend but you can get them in 38mm , 45mm and 50mm.
Im in oz too and miss pole SA last year has decked out her studio with them!
If you have the money ive heard they are great 🙂 -
Hey Alesha! Yeah I’m gonna go with the pussycat pole!!! I called them today and they sound amazing!!!!!! Wish I knew about them before I bought an xpole!
The lady was amazingly helpful over the phone and assured me that if at anytime I am EVER unhappy with the pole I just have to send it back and they are more than happy to fix whatever is the problem!
Their main aim is to satisfy customers and the lady said they are having an increasing amount of people lately upgrade from an xpole to the pussycat!
Custom hand made, Aussie, quality, one peice, sheer brilliance!!!!
I’m Sooooo excited! Even though it’s gonna be a lil while before I can afford one coz yeah they are a bit pricy but she said they are made to last a lifetime!
I’m going to get a removeable brass 44.5mm rotator!! Whooo! Postage included it will cost $925 AUD ouch! But it will be worth it!
Can’t wait til I’m rich lol helloooooo tax time ahahah ! 😀 -
