I was feeling that bottom leg get lower and then bam! sharp terrible pain in my upper stretched leg at my head, OMG the pain was so terrible, I couldnt get off the pole soon enough and then I laid there awhile in pain and the session stopped. Now after laying in bed for a few hours its still hurting. Have any other people hurt themselves in Jade practice like this? I think I pulled my hamstring and I cant believe it! Ive been getting back into the swing of things and this happened.

It seems to me that you’ve pulled your hamstring (I pulled mine 5 months ago while doing a split drop and it was the same pain you describe).

Put some ice on your hamstring, take ibuprofen and keep your leg elevated as much as you can right now. This is very important to minimize damages (bruise, swelling, etc.).
    Good luck !

Yes, sounds like a tear, rest and try massage or foam roller for it. When getting back into working on things that require hamstrings, be sure to fully warm up first so you do not re-injure it. Some don’t respond well to ice after an injury like this, so you could also try heat, then massage. As long as you don’t have swelling, heat can be very helpful, it will increase blood flow and can speed up healing.
