Oops forgot to post my discussion details… For the love of pole!! I’ve tried everything to invert from the ground into handspring – can do it from twisted grip invert- any tips as I’m just not making any progress 😤. Thanks

The Handspring is hard until you get it. I got mine about a month ago. Something that really helped me, was and is, jumping into an Iron-X position from the floor, using a Twisted Grip. You don’t need to hold the Iron-X in this exercise. It’s also a great way to warm up and prepare your arms and shoulders for practicing the Handspring. So, I continued practicing that, trying to get my legs as high as possible, always keeping my torso straight and stable, finding and maintaining the tension throughout my body. Day by day, I reached higher and higher up. A conclusion of my Handspring journey is: When you’ve got the height (maybe only then), it’s time to tuck your knees in towards your chest, forming a little ball. Find your balance. You may need to hoover for a second or so in the ball position to find stability and balance. Finally, split and extend your legs into a Straddle position. Hope it helps! 🙂
P.S. It’s cool you can do it from an Invert – I don’t find it so easy.

I’m still struggling to actually invert with my handspring / cartwheel (I get mixed up with the different names) but I am getting closer and closer.
What I’ve found is that it’s a MASSIVE push with that bottom arm, and in the past (when I’ve made no progress) I was relying purely on that top arm. Do you have someone who can spot you and try to lift your hips up as you swoop your leg? I found doing this really showed my body just how massive that push with that bototm arm is.

Check out the lessons here for both the Handspring and Cartwheel mount with OUT using the TG.

One of the biggest issues I see is not reaching down far enough with the bottom hand, the torso stays too horizontal and this makes getting up very difficult. Keep the head moving down towards the feet in Cartwheel mount and think of reaching low and running under the body for the Handspring.
