I have no idea how a pole jam works (is it BYOP?  Bring-your-own-pole?) but I would love to join in if no one minds having a newbie (1st level pole and no previous dance experience) practicing with you!  🙂  I will have to look up that meet up group and get myself out and involved.  I live in the west end of downtown, but I have a car and can carpool if anyone needs.  🙂

    Hi amasou!

You are more than welcomed to come practice as well! The level does not matter. I am more than happy to help and it's always fun to see what others can do and work with others to get inspired! You don't have to bring your pole, my place only has enough space for one, so we can just share the pole. I have a 50mm X-pole, hope that works! 🙂

Next week sounds good to me! Whatever day is convenient for you. Im available on Tuesdays, so just let me know at what time exactly. I do love cats!!! So no problem there.
Would you like me to bring something?
At home I have a 45mm chrome so I think the 50 will work perfectly. Im sure I will get in to it fast. 🙂

The transition from 45mm to 50mm is not too bad, I did it myself for a special event where they only had 45mm and it was ok. The spins are easier on the smaller pole, but the grip is better on the 50 mm pole, for me anyway. I also have lots of grip (mighty grip powder) if you need it.

Let's make it for next Tuesday then. I will let confirm via text and e-mail. Anyone interested, let me know! 🙂

    Cheers!

I'm game to meet up this coming Tuesday evening the only thing is I work till 5:00 then the traffic at that time can be silly.  What time and is the first jam going to be and is it going to be at your place @akaneka?

I live right near the Carlingwood Mall, west end Ottawa if anyone needs a ride? I also have pole mates that I can bring and please let me know what kind of refreshment/snack to bring as well.

Please feel free to email/inbox me for my cell number so we can chat and work details out (:

Thank you so much SarahA for making this all happen!!!

    Hi TreePoles!

Yes the practice would be at my place. Small but quiet and accessible! I have one pole, but no mat, you can bring one if you want! 🙂 As for snacks and refereshments, you can bring anything you want but no need if you don't want to. I recommend not to eat too much while practicing… I don't know about you, but it makes it hard for me to flip upside down after eating LOL.

I'll be bringing some refreshment too. Maybe a tiny light snack so we don't practice with an empty stomach either.

So what time would be best to meet up? I'll let you ladies decide since I will be available at any time.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and have a nice jam session 🙂

Hi from Grande Prairie, Alberta. I am actually from Winnipeg Manitoba, but currently living here for school. I am so new to this that I havent even bought my pole yet. But I am so fricken excited. I miss dance, and this will be something i can finally do in my spare time. Im already thinking competitions, but I think I should get the pole first lol.

Count me in too!  I will email you my cell number.  I usually get home from work around 5:30.  I could probably get there around 6:00 with traffic?  I'm in the Hintonburg area if anyone needs a lift.

As for everything else mentioned…I have a 45mm pole but am curious to see how I like the 50mm.  I love cats…but my allergies just mean that I'll have to pop some pills beforehand and restrain myself from playing with them.  Oh, and I have no idea what a pole-mate is.  😉

No worries amasou, the cats will be in my room for the practice. I will clean as much as I can you you feel better. A pole matt is like a gym matt to break your falls during difficult moves. I don't use them much, but they are very useful! Ok I will add your number to my cell and text you.

    Cheers!
