Hi everyone! I’ve been absent for a while due to moving. Have just put my pole up in my new place (hooray!) but a bit of the adjuster thread (if that’s what it’s called?) is showing, photo attached. The pole feels stable but I thought the pole was meant to be smooth top to bottom with no gaps? I tried using the small extension (125mm I think) but that made it too long…am I just being a complete idiot? Picture attached! (Thumb included for size reference)

Have just found an old post where it says you’re not supposed to extend the adjuster thingy more than 5 inches for safety reasons…hmm. Just measured mine and it’s extended to about 6.5! Should I take it down, shorten it as much as I can and then try the extension? So confused!

I always try to use as many extention peices as I can, so I extend as little as possible.

Thanks – my pole is a little bit stiff, so it was just a matter of spending some time winding it as far down as it would go before adding the extension (silly of me not to realise before). All sorted now, no more gap!

If adjuster cover does not cover the threads then an extension piece is needed. Mine was like that and xpole told me I needed an extension piece. They also recommended I not use it until the extension piece is in place.
