Help with next move needed please!
Posted by Gsylass on August 13, 2011 at 11:04 amHey guys, I'm posting this for Azzwoo as she's still having issues with her internet connection. She's putting together her routine for Reach for a Star which is only 3 weeks away now!! She has asked if anybody can come up with a good way to get from the pose in the picture below back to standing by the pole. She may be limited for space on the stage, so doesn't want to go too far off the stage (if at all). Please can any of you help?!

if she´s flexible enough, she could grab the pole with her left hand, then lift the left leg up and twist on the right leg around while the other leg still is lifted. so she´ll get into a backsplit. from this postion she could just swing the lifted leg in front on the stage.
i hope you understand my description ^^

Hi Kitty, yes she will be on the stage pole on-stage!
Thanks for your idea emotion catcher, will pass that on 🙂

If she can lower herself from this position to sitting on the stage in front of the pole, she can Shoulder Mount up off of the stage and onto the pole.

I’ve never tried this spin on a stage, but it’s SUPER fun and an unexpected way to get up:

That is amazing!! It reminds me of those one-handed handstands into Geminis that people do to invert. (I'm sure there's a better name for those but I can't think of them offhand.)

This is what I'm taking about, although they don't hook any legs on: http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/324/extended-handstand-variation/

I’ve been calling that an iguana mount handstand, but I know the move you mean! it’s really pretty on spin pole 🙂

I just found it! http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/385/gemini-mount/
I tried it and found it easier to make it a Brass Monkey mount rather than a Gemini mount, but that's the idea! Calling it an Iguana Mount handstand also makes sense 🙂

I've done that a few times by accident when I lost my grip in reverse attitude spin! LOL!
