Hey From Stoney Creek Ontario!
Wow what a great website! I’ve lurked here for a while but now I’d like to say hello!!!
I’m a 27 year old, happily married from Stoney Creek, Ontario. I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved down here for employment. I am a social worker and I sometimes do some modeling in the adult industry. Health and fitness has always been a major interest to me. I’ve worked out regularly since I was 20 but also had an active lifestyle growing up. I got into pole dancing because I was getting burned out with my regular workout routine and bored of the gym. I had always enjoyed watching strippers work the pole and wished I could learn to pole dance too. I never thought of it as sexually dirty or anything. To me pole dancing was about art and fitness mixed together with a lil bit of sexiness. Then one day a couple years ago I grew some balls and signed up for pole dancing lessons. I took lessons at Aradia Fitness in Hamilton. I made it up to level 3 but I quit taking lessons because there wasn’t a level 4 to go to at the time. I also felt Aradia’s levels were too slow for me as I was already doing inverts at home with my own pole but I wasn’t allowed to do inverts at Aradia until I was in a higher level. I wasn’t allowed to skip levels either so I got bored just doing basic front and back spins. Then a new studio opened called Allure but they wanted me to start at the first level because their system was a bit different. I really didn’t want to start at the first level when I clearly wasn’t a beginner anymore. I’d rather be in a level that is challenging. Instead of paying for expensive pole lessons and not learning anything new, I decided I would just learn at home watching videos on YouTube.
Fast forward to today, and I am just a solo lonely pole house pole dancer. My goal is to keep improving as I am enjoying pole dancing so much. And I hope one day I am good enough to compete.. that would be quite an amazing experience if one day I’m good enough to compete. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
A few days ago I discovered Sass Studio opened up recently in my neighborhood so I plan on checking out their Ontario Pole Jam next Sunday even though I don’t know anyone there. Lets hope my social anxiety isn’t too bad that day. :p
So that’s my story.. This site is pretty cool as I am enjoying watching everyone’s videos and reading interesting info in the forums.

A big welcome to you from your SV FAMILY. You will love it here. And you will love our Ontario pole jams. I rotate it to different studios as much as I can. Sass studio owner Shauyn/Phoenix is amazing performer and teacher. She is so strong and has the best pole tricks around. She will take you to the highest level of learning that you need. She is awesome and your so lucky to be so close to her studio.
