I just had my x-pole (45mm chrome) delivered….YAY!!! WHOOOHOO!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I must say you guys make it seem easy and flawless. I cant wait to start learn from you guys. BTW, I didn’t get to do much today…my hands were too sweaty https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif i was really excited https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif …but when they finally dried i was able to play with it a bit. What’s funny….my girls jumped on the poles like pros….they use to watch in search of the next pussycat doll….lol. i guess it’s from all the climbing and sliding down the pole at the park. Any of you guys from NY?

I used to teach at that studio in Manhattan mentioned by untamedshrew, it’s called Exotic Dance Central. It wasn’t quite the environment I’d hoped for. Now I just pole at home and do occasional pole gigs. I need to go practice but it’s so HOT! On days like this I’ll usually just do strengthening exercises and stretch, and try to really work my hand grip. If you can hold on even with damp hands, you sure feel safe! Of course I slide down with sweaty hands, but as long as I can keep a good grip…a slow slide down can look intentional and sexy. Sometimes if i climb up to do an invert, and the hands are too wet….sllooooow sliiiiiiiiiiiiide. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_moneyeyes.gif Folk just love that paired with a sexy face! I wish I woulod of brought that one instead…I hear there’s a better grip on that one. Well, I just had a semi succesful session. I was Just too dang sweaty! You’re right about the humidity and I’m feelin it today.
Ive had the titanium gold for a year and a half. It’s got a really nice grip, except when I’m just too sweaty in which case any pole is difficult. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I haven’t tried the chrome x-pole yet. hello from brooklyn! I used to pole at crunch gym, but now i just pole at home since i finally got one! I live in williamsburg and anyone who know nyc knows space is limited so some moves i have to be careful. And i pull my futon down and sleep next to my pole (i have gotten lazy about taking it down). My lease is up the end of September and I am hoping that my new place will have enough room for it! I’m also new to the forum and i love it!
