Hi from France!
Hi everybody, i’m french, from a city in the North (Lille) and I practice pole dance since May 2009.
I would like to open a pole dancing school here, cuz there is nothing about pole in here, but I have to work cuz i’m only intermediate….
If somebody nows how to become a good pole dancing teacher and how to open a pole dancing school, let me now, it will really help me!

This is a great site and I’m sure you’ll enoy the forum, video etc. As for becoming an instructor, not the best person to help, but here in the UK they recommend getting an Exercise To Music certificate first of all.

What’s an Exercise to music? Something like Fitness instructor?
I heard that in Uk there was a formation for becoming pole teacher?!

Ah yeah ETM is a studio instructor fitness course. Am thinking of becoming an instructor myself (in a year or two, when I’ll hopefully be better https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif ) and my instructor recommended getting an ETM certificate first of all, then build with pole specific courses. I’m from Barcelona (Spain), and here there isn’t any pole dance school neither, so I was thinking about to do something to open mine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif … Maybe we can be in touch to know what is doing the other one!!! -

In Ireland to be an instructor it is also recommended that you get an Exercise to Music certificate. And then there are pole specific training that you need too but Im not sure if France is the same. I wish I could be more helpful but I dont know a lot about it! Best of luck though x -

In France, actually you don’t need any diplome to open a pole school, but I prefer to have something. There is also some formations in Paris for teaching pole with different level. So I will try a diplome and see!!
And in Spain, how does it works?

Spain sucks…. hahaha… most of the people here don’t know what pole dance is, except from the striptease, of course!!! But I think that in maybe two years it will be a fashion sport in all the gyms, like what happened with yoga and tai-chi…
