  • How do you call this move?

I am not sure if there is a thread like this, if so, I am terribly sorry and I will try to move my question there.

Anyway, how is this move called?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAtWsaV3jFk it starts around 00:57, I really like this way of inverting, but I need to know what is it if I want to show it to my instructor. I do get how to do it, but   as I am terribly bad at explaingng moves to others, I need something in case I will do it wrong way or will not be able to explain what i mean 😉

I could just show her this video, I know, but I thought maybe there are better ones out there explaining this move.

    Thank you!

The first one looks like a suicide back hook.

Yes the first part is definitely the first half of the suicide back hook spin without the leg switch. I've not seen this particular combo – I like it.. I also like this girl's whole routine…she is  pretty dancer.

I would show a video if you can capture it or email it to her. The suicide back hook spin is not so difficult so this should be fairly easy to learn as well. It's a fun variation.

If I was trying to describe it I would say it was a side-lying back hook spin into a single leg thigh hold (aka Tammy)
