Seems like everyone is posting pics and and vids, and they’re all AMAZING. MY question is… what do you use? I can’t imagine you all were naturally born with superamazing cameras or phones and perfect places to actually put up your video recording devices. My only pic had to be a selfie in which I climberd with the camera in my hand… But I would like to correct that and maybe start spamming the universe with my vids too =3

So… how about taking a reverse pic? From the pole, take a pic of your habitual filming setup! I think it would be cool, AND I can get some inspiration!

I actually have a camera and tripod I bought a while back for recording stuff for my YouTube channel (not pole related). Now it’s doing double duty but the tripod isn’t quite as tall as I need so I set the tripod up on top of a table, LOL.

I’m with tblue, I have a real video camera (not a phone, and not a still camera that has a “video” mode) and the tripod on the table!

I normally use either my phone or my iPad. I place them on high chairs, books or yoga blocks (or any combination of those 3 things). I do have a camera with a tripod that can record video but extracting it and posting it is kind of hard so I don’t use it very often. I’d love to buy a video camera for my pole videos but so far the phone camera has to do the job

I used to use my phone propped up with a cheap bendy tripod I got on ebay which was really good but limited, especially in small spaces. Then my lovely boyfriend got me a go pro for my birthday which is great for pole as it has a wide lens so I can get everything in much easier even though the camera is much closer! It doesn’t have a screen though haha so there is a lot or trial and error involved and it needs good light..cue several frustrating times where I filmed for ages and it’s rubbish footage ! So I spent practically a whole day last weekend filming my room from all different angles so now I know the best one haha. But yeah ever since I first starting filming in march it has taken me ages and ages to figure out how to get decent footage! It is definitely something u figure out as u go along =p I will take some pics of my setup when I get home .
ooooh ! And I just ordered a dash cam with night vision !! It was only cheap on one of those voucher sites so it probably won’t be amazing but I figured night vision might make some crazy pole vids hehe!!

PoleKat, do you use the gopro phone app? Then your phone acts as the screen so you can see what youre filming!

I have the gopro also, but sometimes I use my phone too if I just want some quick feedback in a specific trick. I have a little $10 clip on fisheye lens for it. The go pro is placed in the case it came in cuz it gives it like a 12 inch stand on too of a yoga block on top if a yoga block on too of a hat box >_<
