  • How often do you do pole dancing ?

I was wondering how often you are on the pole because sometimes I can't practice as much as i would like, I'm just too busy with my jobs and stuffs and I lack of time, I think that if I was better organized I could have more time to practice. So I'm considering doing like an hour or half and hour -without warm up and cool down of course- of pole dancing every day (depending on how tired or busy I am) instead of my 2-3 hours twice a week (when I've enough time, otherwise, it's only on sundays for 2-3 hours).

I don't know if it's a good idea, what do you think ?

I thought that if i could do one day using mostly my arms and the next day using mostly my legs grip it would be ok but I've no idea and I don't want to injure myself or something.

I use to practice 3 time a week with a day off in between, now i'm too busy. The day off is really important and when i start making it, rather that doing everyday i got stronger a lot faster. So i wouldn't go everyday or too long. 1h-1h30 is pretty good. More than that you're body will have hard time to get back as is best.

I think it's usually how in the zone and in the mood I am that day that dictates how long my practice sessions are.  Sometimes I'm only able to work on 2 things and my session will last about 45 minutes.  Sometimes I can pole dance for up to 2 hours.  I don't think I've ever pushed myself to go longer than 2 hours though because I'm usually beat by the time the 2 hour mark rolls around.  I try to only pole 3 times a week, but sometimes I get so obsessed with mastering a trick that I squeeze in a 4th session.

What tiggertail said about taking breaks inbetween pole sessions is true.  Your body needs those days off to be able to repair itself and that is how we gain strength.  I think it'll be OK if you just did 2 hours of pole dancing twice a week.  3 hours may be pushing it and you'll probably end up being too tired at around the 2 hour mark because you seem to have such a busy life schedule.  Perhaps a "just stretching" day can be added to your twice a week pole dancing schedule as well?  Stretch for maybe just 45 minutes.
