  • How to do this move?

Posted by Dust on August 15, 2015 at 1:49 pm

Hi, its an awkward question cause I’ll try to explain the move in my mind. I see dancers laying on the back, lifting feet up, then twisting them in a shaky way. The ankles would be twisting too. I just dont get it and I would like to try it if someone can explain plz how to start it in steps. Thank you

It is the same laying down as it is standing up, it is the “Dorothy wiggle” booty clap. If you are laying on the floor basically all you are going to do is move your knees from pointing forward to pointing to the side and then back. It takes a bit of practice to be able to do it fast, but when you get the move down you can make your back side jiggle.

“Dorothy wiggle” because the move is similar to clacking your heels together a la “there’s no place like home”.

Oh thank you both! Ok..so the move is initiated through the knees.. Plz excuse me for my questions.. Straight or bent legs? Pointed toes I suppose? Do the knees move towards the outside or towards the inside? Do the ankles need to move in any direction or rotate in anyway? I mean is it all through the knees or I need to move other areas too..thanks a lot!

It’s the same motion as this just lying down 😊 https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/f6257c78-b909-11df-856f-001b214581be
