I know it’s not strictly pole dancing so feel free to tell me to bog off if I shouldn’t post these things here but I’m interested in doing something new alongside pole.

So the other day I saw this video: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=2532261224520

It’s amazing (or at least I think so). I’d like to take up hooping. It’s gotta be good cardio, and whip those abs into shape pretty darn quick, which in turn can only help with pole dancing. Does anyone on here hoop? If so can you please give me some tips and point me in the direction of some good tutorials please?

    Thank you lovely Veeners xx

lol, in our marriage, My wife Laurie is the hooper….and *I* am the poler! She does indeed hoop at a pole studio where she also does hammocks. I consider hula hoop an associated circus art that is a part of the entire aerial/pole/circus experience. Hooping moves promote core, hand eye coordination, and musicality. Veena is a hooper. I also hoop–rather poorly, I might add. I thought Veena had some hoop lessons a while back…? And there is stuff on You Tube and also a private group on FB where you hand musical challenges back and forth. My advice is to get a blow dryer, the various tubing and tapes and begin to learn to make them. It’s easy and we have a few we made. You can go broke buying hoops. Believe me….I KNOW!!!!!

Veena has hooping lessons here, including how to make your own, and check out a site called Hip Hoop Hooray. Matt had a bunch of free hooping tuts there too.
