Hurty Collarbone from Shoulder Mount
Posted by bebeduckie on September 28, 2009 at 10:36 pmI was able to do the shoulder mount a couple times the other day, but every time I flip over into it, I bang my collarbone on the pole. Is my positioning wrong? How do I avoid this?
It hurts so much I don’t even want to try it again for a while!

so if the pole is behind your right shoulder bone then your legs would be slightly left? i will try it!
thanks!

Recheck your positioning…..To help avoid hitting the collarbone, you need to make sure your positioning the pole in closer towards the spine…NOT ON…but right at the bottom of the curve where you neck and shoulders meet on the muscle called the trapezius. If your out towards the middle or end ( away from the mid line of the body ) or your you’ll end up rolling over the collarbone. Stay in close to the neck. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I was having this same issue and tried these tips this morning – and they worked! It didn’t hurt at all – but I do have a little pole burn on the side of my neck that looks a little suspicious. I love a war wound. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif So excited!
