Haha!!! I don't know WHO to tell….(I told my bf…but he didn't get it…I actually did it in fron of him…he still didnt get it) But I DID IT!! First invert with NO KICKING!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I have super sweaty hand…I had on Tite Grip…then iTac 2…and my hands was STILL sweaty…but I was like "What the heck…just do it"…I was just going to do the legs lifting…then I decided to bring my legs all the way up…and TA-DA!! Invert!!!

I did an invert in the past in a studio where the instructor told me to me REALLY hard…and it worked…but I didn't have the strength to lift myself up.

I can't believe it!! I learned it all @ HOME!!! THANKS VEENA!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

Polers with sweaty hand….Tite Grip is not working well on me, I sweat through it, anyone here tried Dry Hands??

Good job!  I got the invert a few months ago, but I still get nervous to do it and once in a while I will hurt my back.  Been seeing a chiro for it and it has helped.  But just got off the pole and pulled something again!  GRRRR……..

@Lyme – Thanks!! And Ouch on your back…did you hurt yourself while learning invert? Or SM? I heard a lot of people hurt themselves while learning SM. It’s definitely one of my dream moves…but it definitely make me nervous…

Yes, I hurt my back "kicking" into my invert when I was learning.  Now I don't kick, but every so often, something still pulls and hurts……goes back to the inital injury.  It will be a LONG time before I get an SM thats for sure!  🙂

Bad news: Bf thinks invert is too dangerous…I'm not allow to practice invert….

Good news: He just bought me a 5" thick crash mat from Amazon…and I can continue my practice when the mat arrive https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Congrats, girl!  An exhilarating achievement, isn't it!  ps: In the meantime, probably your bf could be your spotter so you could continue to invert, while waiting for the crash mat to arrive?  LOL

Well done!! Yes, I use Dry Hands. It is ok, I do need to keep applying regularly though. Im not sure how it would be compared to Tite Grip though.
I have also got itac lev2 and I do not like that stuff, I sweat thru it and it’s really slippery. I much prefer the dry hands over itac.

Not sure if I worded that right… I don’t literally use dry hands over itac – I mean I would much prefer to use dry hands as I don’t like itac 🙂
    Sorry…sooo tired…should go to sleep 🙂

    Thank you ladies!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

QUESTION – Although I can do an invert w/o kicking, I'm still having trouble holding on to the pole with my legs only.  I remember when I did it in the studio (50mm) it was hard but I could still let go for a few seconds before I need to grab onto the pole again, but at home I have a 45mm…My hands couldn't even let go for a second! Any tips on how to get a better grip??  Or it just takes time?

Also, I FINALLY dig out the video camera…now I need to figure it out how to post it here on Veena https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

PS. It's great to be able to tell someone about my pole progress…LOL  No one in my real life (bf included) could understand why I get so excited over pole moves…LOL

45's are def harder on getting leg grip.  Concentrate on turning your knees toward one another.

Congratulations!! So proud that you stuck with getting it done the correct way. It’s so tempting to kick into it. I’m still working on getting the strength to get it done right.
