Ok polers, so I managed to flip myself up and I inverted….however, i did it in such a clunky way, it was not smooth at all!! I found myself slowly slipping down…. I am posting the video on my profile if you want to comment for pointers….in the process of inverting i got so many bruises so now im a little afraid, aprehensive to do it! 🙁

Sidenote: i've been poling for about a month now. So, if you want to all check out my other videos please let me know how you think my progress is coming along!

Congrats! Don’t worry, your invert will get more polished with time & practice!

Cali, when you started inverting, did you bruise your rib cage area??? After this video my side was so bruised!!

When I started inverting I tended to bruise the right side of my hip. But that might be because I screwed up from jumping into inverts, aggrivated a rotator cuff, and then told myself I would only invert when I could do aerial inverts…so I only did aerial inverts. And instead of taking my time getting my body around the pole, I just kinda bounced into it.

Do you have veena's lessons? They really help with inverting. The clunky factor probably has something to do with the bruised rib.  I just inverted in my garage just to see if my ribs touched and aside from the ones under my boob, it doesn't seem like they should be touching, let alone getting injured to the point of bruising.

Cap, I do not but I definitely plan on buying some lessons- I think they'll be really helpful. Thank you!

My first invert was not beautiful, and I doubt anyone’s would be. It’s taken practice to get to what I think is even an okay invert. I’m working on making it more polished.

Just be careful when you are coming out of it so not to injure yourself. Also, make sure you are not jumping into it.
