I don’t look strong enough
Posted by sassylina on March 21, 2014 at 10:45 pmI was in a vitamin shop today to see if they had something to help with muscle repair. So the guy asks me if I do intense labor or lift weights. So I told him I left around 120-125 lbs every single day.
He looked kinda surprised and said I didn’t look strong enough. I didn’t make him any wiser 😉Xotos replied 10 years, 8 months ago 12 Members · 12 Replies -

I love that I am stealing that and can’t wait to see what reactions I get!!!

curious if he suggested anything? I am thinking about adding a protein shake or something for recovery after my long runs and when doing strength training for pole.

I am curious as to how they would react to my response of 170-175 lol that is awesome!!

Perfect response! That discussion needn’t go any further! I know you had to have walked away from that conversation with a twinkle in your eye!

I use glutamine when preparing for figure competitions bc I am training weights and cardio 2x per day and am on a very strict diet to lose body fat and spare muscle. I don’t use it in the off season (training weight and cardio 5-6 days per week and poling 2-3x per week)because my diet is less restrictive and far more healthy. I’m not sure that you will need it if your diet is in check, but it won’t hurt.

Awesome! Muscles are cool. I used whey protein powder and took creatine caps. I prefer more natural and kinda clean brands. A smart idea is to blend amino acids powder with water and have your shaker nearby when poling for example. And don’t forget to drink lots of water! 🙂
