Its true! I've finally found something that alleviates my radical muscle soreness almost completely!

Let me start off by giving my fitness schedule:

I teach 5 classes per week

I practice for myself about 2 hours per week

and I do hot yoga about 3 times per week (3.5 hours)

SO im pretty much sore alll theee freaking time. Epsom salt baths never helped, pain relievers never helped, light stretching, drinking lots of water, light exercise….never really helped.

    UNTIL I TRIED THIS STUFF!!!!

    http://www.petergillham.com/wp/2009/11/natural-calm/

    NATURAL CALM!!

(i don't want it to seem like im trying to sell this product…im just really excited to tell you all about it) =)

The owner of the studio I work at suggested it to me and I took her word for it since shes a former body builder, is a licensed masseuse and still works out just about every day. (I figured she knew what she was talking about)

Its a Magnesium Supplement that you just mix with a glass of water! I've been using it for about a week now and I cant believe that im still not sore! I've been working out harder than I normally do this week so I was sure I was going to be sore. But…Im not =)

Not only does this stuff help with muscle soreness/pain/cramps, it helps with insomnia or trouble falling asleep (it works like a charm every time), it helps with stress and anxiety, irritability, headaches, PMS and Hormonal Imbalances and alot more!

When I was picking this up at the store, I stood in the isle for a bit with the product in my hand debating on whether I should get the original or the flavored kind (I would recommend the original) and this woman passed by and said "THAT STUFF WORKS!!" she went on to tell me how she used to have chronic back pain and muscle spasms and since shes been using the Natural Calm stuff its all gone away! She also mentioned how she knows a young man who plays hockey and his coach requires his (and the rest of the team I assume) to take the supplement!

It sounds to good to be true but trust me…its all true!

I have used Natural Calm for about 5 years now (and as a matter of fact I just recommended it last night to Luvlee).  Swanso Vitamins carries it and has a really good price, plus they always run coupons.

The product is Magnesium Citrate, which is a much more bioavailable form of magnesium.  When I have run out I will buy the liquid magnesium laxative from the drug store….same ingredient.  That is one thing you need to watch out for….if you take too much you will be in the bathroom!

BTW…this also works great for monthly cramps!!

    Here is the product brochure:

And Veena, if you go to the link there is lots of info, or you can just google magnesium benefits and read all of the studies and medical literature about Mg supplementation.  It is also highly recommended for menopausal women as it helps balance the Ca/Mg ratio keeping Ca where it should be.

that sounds really interesting. Reading throught the info I can see many good points. My diet is full of calcium and I have always had trouble switching off at night and my joints and muscles are hellish sore all the time.

I have tried to find it availableto the uk and it looks very expensive (£37) Just worried it is too good to be true.

woudl this be the same kind of thing? http://www.bodykind.com/product/1018_105-Natures-Own-Magnesium-Citrate-90-x-500mg-Caps.aspx?Referer=Froogle_Natures-Own-Magnesium-Citrate-90-x-500mg-Caps&utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=price%20comparison&utm_campaign=Natures-Own-Magnesium-Citrate-90-x-500m

Roxi….I usually take 2 tsp in a small bit of hot water…let it fizz down….per night.  both the hubby and I take it.  I get the 16oz bottles and it lasts about a month with the both of us.

Lainey….looks like the same stuff but that is in caplet form.

Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate, it's the magnesium that's soothing, and bathing in is like a total transdermal patch.  Epsom salts has "LAXATIVE" in big letters all over the hug bags I buy of it, so I think people must give me strange looks when I get several bags at a time!

I've missed my Epsom soaks because my tub needs repair, but I'm glad to learn there's an alternative for the interim!

Ive been taking 1-2 tsp every night before bed. I do agree that its a little expensive but I believe its well worth it. The 8 oz bottle i have should last me a little over a month I imagine. The capsule form is the same thing, its just not as quickly absorbed.

I went to my nearest health shop and found something along the same lines

http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=2035&prodid=2258 Its in a mineral spray form with essential oils. I used it after stratching the other day and didn't have hamstrings that felt like they were going to twang for the next couple of days. I also love that its not a suppliment I have to eat as I already take enough tablets every day.

Was very tingly to put on but the label says it gets less so as mineral levels increase (I also read the bottle wrong and used a little too much for the first time!)

Anyway I think it really helps, Thank you for the heads up on the wonders of a bit of magnesium introduced to the body https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
