I am hooked on the Power of the Pole!!!

Yay for you! 7 inches is a GREAT achievement! Congrats!
Pole made me more fit, stronger, toned, increased stamina. Not so much weight loss for me. Then S Factor increased my confidence and sexuality. Plus I'm a wicked dancer at the clubs now. Hahahah! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Congratulations!!!!! That is fantastic, I am glad you are pleased with yourself XD I am going to have to look into S factor, I have NO idea what that is. I haven't been poling that long but I will say it has been giving me more confidence lately and it is wonderful for me to have a reason to build strength in my arms which are starting to look nice and tone 😀

Thank you Heathalynne and BailaHoops for the kind words! That is awesome you ladies have also had great results! I got a laugh out of the wicked dancer comment… take no prisoners! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

congrats! any loss is a great accomplishment! I’m trying hard to drop 20 lbs, and no luck so far. however,I am strong now, and you can see the muscles flex and relax under my padding now, so I am happy with that. congratulations again and happy poling.

Congrats on strength and those flexing muscles!!! I might be giving up on my scale for now. I have extra padding too… I have only lost 2 pounds. I am going to stick with the measuring tape and return to the scale later.
Happy Poling! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

Ya know… I really like what you say about the inches. Scales just depress me. Poling is about the only exercise I can get motivated to do. I have a trick knee so I love that when it get's wobbly I have the pole to lean on. The other thing I love is, thick thighs help and, though they haven't shrunk much I do notice more tone. A few more months of this and my thighs may be able to go back to short shorts this summer, instead of the knee shorts they have been hiding in for the last couple of years.
The other thing is my core is gettin' some definition, even with the extra weight I can see a waistline.
Pole play rocks!

I started to pole a year and a half ago. I was a size 24 and had not done any exercises at all. I am now a size 16, have lost close to 80 lbs and my doctor is shocked at how firm my body has become. My abs, though not flat are almost pure muscle and I have the had the nicest compliments on my legs.
And I have a butt!
Let me just add, I am 53 years old and a grandmother. I attest to the power of the pole!

Wow, ladies, awesome results!
Vipergal, your story is particularly impressive!
-
Thank You, but I attribute all my energies and encouragement to the fine ladies who continue this sport. They imspire me every day.
-
How long did that take you? I am determined to lose a couple of inches!
-
I started a year and a half ago, and I started noticing that I was losing after a month. When I bumped up my work outs to three times a week with stretching in between, it was more drastic. So about a year. The weight lose is gradual, but it is staying off, and I have had no health issues. Blood pressure and cholesterol came down too.

I'm so happy to hear that you're all happy with yourselves! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif It's quite an achievement!
I don't measure anything on my body unless I have to (such as my boobs!), so I don't really know if I've lost or gained weight or inches…I don't even own a scale https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
However, I've noticed a lot more strength, and a LOT more flexibility, particularly in my legs! My hamstrings used to be SO TIGHT, and now…I can almost touch my toes! I've NEVER been able to do that! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I've been poling for one year exactly today! I'm not sure if I've lost inches or weight since I started, but I definitely have more muscle than I did before, and am more toned.
Vipergal, you're an inspiration! I am 55, though not a grandmother. Most polers I know are in their late 20's. I wish pole had been around when I was that age – the mothers of most of them are younger than me!
-
I have also been poling for 1 year – This 1st year has been amazing. I had gained a lot of weight when I had my 2 kids (they are 20 months apart) and just didn't feel comfortable in this unfamiliar body that was mine. My youngest was 6 months when I got my pole. I was wearing a size 11 & 13 pair of jeans from Charlotte Russe this time last year. Within 5 months I had lost 25-30 pounds. I just bought new jeans this past weekend from Charlotte Russe again and am in a size 2. A SIZE 2! After gaining as much weight as I did with the pregnancies and as big as my hips got after childbirth I never (AND I MEAN NEVER!) thought I would get into the shape that I am in right now.
When I got my pole I never thought it would turn into what it has – I just wanted a pole to feel sexy about myself. But now my confidence is through the roof, I have never felt so happy in my own body, even though I still have loose skin on the tummy and my boobs look totally sad a mopey after nursing. LOL.
Pole has changed my life in ways unimaginable, I am so happy I can share it with such wonderful people on this online pole community.
Keep up the wonderful work! I love you fellow Veeners :o)

All of these stories are wonderful and very inspirational! I love it!!! I have poled for 8 weeks. My friends are commenting on my forearm definition. I am also getting definition in the back of my arm and noticed my legs are looking leaner. I am so happy to be a smaller and firmer version of me! I look forward to seeing how things continue.
I take a class at a pole studio once a week. I practice pole at home two days a week. I stretch and practice walking and non weight bearing movements on non pole days.
I have wanted to learn this for years, each and every practice is an accomplishment.
