There was a pole instructor who came to see the dancers at work. I was called up on that stage, learned she was a pole instructor, and got into a conversation about how much harder it was to use 50mm than 45.

That’s when she reached across the stage and felt the pole with her hand, looked at me, and said, “That’s bigger than 50.” So this whole time I’ve been dancing on a 55 or 60mm wide pole at work O__O No wonder everything is so much harder at work! What was the club owner thinking???

Anyone else ever danced on a bigger-than-50mm pole?

LOL yes, I’ve used larger than 50 (often found in bars) and I’m not fond of it for hand grips, but everything else wasn’t bad. Yeah, it’d be much easier on you guys if you had a smaller pole!

I am not sure exactly how large my own pole is, it is a 2″ OD copper pipe, I am guessing 50. And I wish I had gone a little smaller because I think it would be easier on some of the grips.
But, to answer your question. One time in a club in Texas I was working and they had a pole on the stage, but it was more of a vent pipe for the sewer or something. At any rate the thing was huge! No one used it except to walk around. Anyway, when it was slow I would practice shoulder mounts on the thing. That was about the only trick I could do on it. LOL.

I think I know which club that is… Not all of them are like that. Smiles
