I love the pole dancing community
I am new to this site but have been checking it out, looking through posts and getting a feel for the community. I have to say, pole dancers are such an amazing community. Everyone is so supportive, encouraging, and positive. It’s just such a pleasant change from much of the competitiveness and negativity of the real world. I have been pole dancing for almost 4 years and this year has been a unique one, as the USPDF East Coast Regionals took place in my hometown, as I was lucky enough to be asked to be the east coast representative. Everyone I met in workshops and the afterparty, were absolutely amazing in spirit and it’s a pleasure to be affiliated with women (and men) like you.
I look forward to getting to know more of you on this site! Veena, thanks for making such a fun, open, and interactive site!

Welcome to the Site! I also love the positive energy on the board and even w/other pole dancers. We compete against eachother but its good healthy competition. Its nice break from the real world like you said.

Welcome DeshaBiller! I’m somewhat new too, and have found in addition to the wonderful people, SV is such a great resource for info on everything from pole instruction, problems w/ specific tricks, music ideas, events, injuries, etc. etc…..and most of all….inspiration! I can’t believe how much I’ve learned about poling since I’ve been here. I love how everyone is so happy to offer their input to help & support one another!
