I might be cheating on my straight edge split!
Ok so I just got the straight edge split but as you can see in the video I posted, part of one of my thighs is still slightly resting against the pole. In a lot of pictures I see of this move the dancer is holding herself away from the pole so I’m wondering it still "counts" since I’m not quite holding all of my weight. I guess either way I’m still supporting most of my weight on my own and this will help me be able to do a straight edge but I’m wondering if you have to hold your body away from the pole for it to technically be a straight edge split?
