I took my pole down from my moms laundry room back in August.  I was planning on taking it down to the lake house but it never happened.  Im now starting to get time to start training for Ms Xpose.  I contacted my mom to see if I could come by – she said I wouldnt have any room b/c its been converted to be a pantry too.

I dont know why im still perturbed about it but it hurts my feelings.  I know its her house and she can do as she wishes but she gave me that room to practice and train.  Then I think she used to pull this kind of stuff when we were younger and her b/f would move in with us.

So now im stuck with my pole in its case just sitting next to my couch.  I dont have the room to practice at my house and theres no place where I could practice.  I dont want to part with my pole – I waited 4 years to finally get my own.  I could go to the studio and practice but the times where the studio is open most of the time isnt convenient and at $9/hr that does add up.

    Im lost and confused!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

    Hi Minicoopergirl,

    I'm sorry you lost your cave… : (

Is there anything that you can do to put it in your house? Talk to Hubby about it being a priority especially with your training needs. Having it in a case just isn't right!

Wishing you the best of luck to get your pole back up in a place that is convenient for you.

There is no possible way of rearranging your furniture in your place temporarily to put your pole up? There HAS to be! Pack a bunch of furniture from one room into a different room. Instead of having furniture on the center of the room, really pack it in the perimeter. Make it work! My dining room literally has nothing in it, but my bedroom and living room is packed full of crap! 😉

The only place with any kind of room is the living room.  I could move the ottoman but I also have to get the vaulted ceiling mount as well.  WE aso have a ceiling fan and I dont want to bump into it up at the top.  The living room is the only place we have  a TV and I dont like having my husband watch me practice – It still creeps me out.  And watching TV is how my husband wants to relax from working all day.

I want to leave it up and not have to worry about setting it up and putting it back down.  If its too much of a hassle, then I wont even bother putting it up.

Just get the vaulted ceiling mount and out it up in your living room. I think it's way easier to put up with the ceiling mounts (you just put the pole into the mount, make sure it's level, tigthen the screws and you're done.) Or you could leave it up for a few weeks, no big deal.

You have two options, get over the embarrassment of practicing in front of the hubby, or ask him to go entertain himself for a little while while you practice. Both are reasonable. Sometimes I practice with my fiancee in the room; sometimes I kick him out…depends on my mood. Although, if you are practicing for a show, it might be good for you to practice in front of someone.

I agree with the vaulted ceiling adapter, i have one in my living room with a ceiling fan and have never hit the fan. actually i have two, my original lil mynx and my x pole. I just recently took down the mynx. the ceiling adapter makes the pole super easy to put up and down.

as far as the husband issue can't help there. I love having my man here when I'm praticing he actually helps me tons by seeing little things I don't notice and its great to have a spotter for new tricks.

Maybe too much project runway…. but I must say… Girl… "make it work". LOL

I think I would just suck it up and practice with the man in the room… I like having mine around when I pole, he can watch and give advice or for the hard tricks spot me. I luckily have a room for my pole but am always calling him in there.

Besides imagine all the fun you can have on a tall pole! Plus if you need the adapter then you are not used to having that space and wouldn't have to get near the fan. For me I took my ceiling fan down in the pole room and the is where my pole goes. They are super easy to hook up so if I want to take it down the fan will slap right back up!

    Good luck!

lol kittynylan that is how my mynx pole was too, except we put two lap dance chairs and a table across from the tv and positioned everything so if you were sitting in the chairs you weren't having to lean to look around the pole!!!

my x pole my hubby took out a piece of carpet and its on the other side of the room I had both up for a bit, but I really don't care for the mynx and needed space for praticing other types of dance. I will be opening my studio soon and figure if I want to play with more then one pole at a time I can do it there.

I know lots of people who simply have it in their living rooms or bedrooms. Just make it work somewhere. It has to fit somewhere. You may need to re-arrange furniture, by moving a coffee table or something(I moved my desk into another room for it to fit). If you want practice space badly enough…you'll find a way:)
