    Hi girls!

I just decided that i should add a new pair of shoes to my wardrobe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Since I have a lot of shoes that aren't perfect for pole (buckles on the wrong parts etc) I now want to focus on shoes that are nice to dance and climb in.

Which material is better? Patent or the clear stuff? When patet, the thick or the stretchy that some boots have?

And what about the chrome platforms, will the chrome come off after a while?

Do you prefer sandals or ankle boots? Until now I have only sandals, but with the boots I guess it's a problem that most of them have some sort of metal parts on the front?

Right now I was going for Pleaser Adore 709, Delight 600-18 (but I guess the buckles are a problem?), Kiss 254, or maybe boots, Delight 1012. What do you think?

In my experience I prefer the clear heels for actual climbing. 3-5 inches is best. The vinyl looks better in my opinion, because I prefer black. But the black, unlike the clear tends to "peel" off exposing a grey soft undertissue that is somewhere between suede and cardboard. It does not play well with the pole. Also, I find that the clear shoes last longer. Most of my co-workers have had their clear shoes for 10+ without issue…the only thing that sucks that most clears come with white soles, which quickly become dirty and look unappealing |: But if it's a studio setting, I really don't think anyone will care 😛

You're right with the white inner soles; I have two pairs of those and don't really like it.

Other problem that I forgot to mention is, that I have really narrow feet without any instep and I'm just sliding trough any shoe.

I have one pair of plack patent pleasers (Candy something) I padded on the inside with self sticking foam rubber which works very well.

My clear pleaasers I cut in the middle of the strap and put some grommets in them so they're now to lace. It works, but it's not the best solution for pole so I would try the foam rubber the next time. But on the clear ones I could only tape it onto the sole and not under the strap and I don't know if that would work (plus, the stuff is black).

Did I mention that I hate my feet?

So can anyone tell me something about the durability of the chrome and UV platforms?

I so wish I would win the lottery… there are so many shoes I'd love to have!

Actually I was thinking about getting one new pair… But right now I think maybe I should get me some cheap clear practise heels as well so I won't ruin the others.

I have the 7" chrome, love them to death.  They hold up really well, minor scratches but nothing that is overly obvious.  I have seen the other girls in class wearing the UV and do not notice to much damage to their shoes.  We tend to scuff the fronts due to floor work and other moves that drag but its not bad.

I prefer the clear over the other types of shoe material the only issue I have is the ankle straps start to wear out.  I have small ankles and they seem to start tearing where the strap meets the shoe.

Best of luck on your shoe purchase. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
