I want to get something for my friend…
You ladies (and gents) are so creative, so I wanted to put this out there and see if you all had some great ideas I haven't come up with.
(Bless you if you can make it through my ramblings. Sorry about how long this turned out.)
I, after much prodding, finally convinced my best friend (for 10+ years!) to come to the studio with me. She has medical issues which make weight control particularly difficult and she's not as comfortable with herself as she'd like to be. Nevertheless, she's agreed to join me.
I am thrilled. She is apprehensive. I first set foot in a pole studio in February 2011 and although I have taken several breaks and am not very far along trick-wise, I can tell you I LOVE POLE! It makes me happy and I want her to experience that same joy by sharing it with her.
I want to give her a gift bag of some sort to say "THANK YOU for doing this with me" and provide her with some things that might be useful in the world of pole. I have some Pleasers that I think were mislabeled as a 7 when they're actually a larger size. I bought them on clearance so no returns. She loves shoes, so I am thinking about seeing if they fit her and passing them on. I've also thought about buying a tank top and some capri-length workout pants. I know she'd feel more comfortable with the length than with shorter shorts, plus since I've been at the studio forever I know that she won't need the grip for this Introductory workshop. I just worry about buying the wrong size or something that she won't feel comfortable in. I want her to feel cute and sexy and like she can let loose and have fun, not worrying about or fussing over her clothes.
I also thought about getting a little tote bag and decorating it and putting my goodies inside it for her.
I want to be thoughtful and let her know how much it means to me (and maybe give her some supplies to continue it with me). I have the concept, but not much else.
Help me?
