Some of you may remember me. Long story short, I fell off the face of the earth during a bad divorce. I've been trying to get my life back together. I'd like to get back into pole, its the only exercise I stuck with and I love watching some of my old videos. I want that lady back. I miss her.

    A. I'm uncertain if people be would be interested in seeing my videos since I don't "progress" in terms of upside down stuff. I realize I'm more of a dancer than a trickster. I'm also starting over so I'm a beginner again…

    B. Can someone give me a summary of what has happened in pole world the last two years? How has this site changed?

    Thanks.

A- of course people would be interested in seeing your videos!  your dancing will inspire others to get up and dance.  who knows?  you may actually help some people.

B- i think pole sport has exploded.  studios are popping up everywhere.

re: veena- the site has more lessons… combos for pole.  stretching stuff.  strength stuff.

veena has her own pole that she sells.  and there is an affiliate program where you can earn some money for referrals.

    Hi!

Yes, of course people would love to see your videos! You definitely don't need to be a trickster… I love seeing beautiful dancers do their thing 🙂

And Katana got it pretty dead on- more lessons, new Veena pole, lots of studios cropping up everywhere.

    🙂

HI Velvetvixen!!! Never feel bad about not working on tricks. I went all last year and didn't learn ANYTHING new! It was nice to take some time and just dance and enjoy other things I love like hooping! Speaking of, not sure if you where here when I added Hula hooping lessons but they're here too! It's great to see you back, most of my favorite dances are not trick heavy but dancy!

So good to hear from you again and that you are looking to pole.  You will see a lot of the same faces here and a lot of new ones.  Not all of us are in it for the tricks.

As for what has changed….lets see, competitions have gotten crazier, the top polers are doing stuff I cannot even imagine in my head, many faces are gone, there seems to be some sort of big event every few months, poles have gotten skinnier, there are a lot more studios and a lot better instruction and a lot more focus on safety….I am sure there is a ton more but I am tired and cannot think.

I say grab that pole and have a few spins!  If you feel like sharing, do it, if you don't then don't.  But at least video yourself so that when you hit a plateau you can see how far you have come.

Please do post dance videos. I can do tricks but can’t dance well and love to watch and learn from real dancers!
