Sorry I know this sounds like I’m having a moan or a rant and you might have heard similar stories, but I’ve been struggling with pole now for months. My hamstring tore slightly just when I felt like I was getting somewhere and has took 3 months to heal and I now find out I have had a lot of adhesions on some of my muscles throughout my body not just on my hamstring…, on a positive note I’m feeling better and now have more knowledge about how my injury occurred and how to prevent it which is great. so now the next step Is to go strengthen up all my muscles that were weak and causing my injuries … Back to the drawing board again for me !! It’s very frustrating as I now know what’s been holding me back. Just wondering has anyone ever had the same prob? And how did you cope?

Im into week 3 of healing from a hamstring tear. 🙁 I feel better but I have lost my flexibility in that leg. well, for now. I haven’t even tried to push it very far. I can still pole and barely stretch that leg but I don’t know when I can go back to trying splits training again. I saw two doctors and their answers were vague. they made it sound like it’s no big deal and I could do what I want after 3 weeks if I just take it slow. I believe my tear was due to weak muscles. I don’t strength train my legs that much. my hamstring tear was luckily a minor tear. Like you, I am wondering what’s next and how others are dealing with theirs.

How did you tear yours skullpixie? I tore mine doing oversplits. I was really warm, loose and flexi. I didn’t even feel like I was stretched that much, felt like I could push a little further. my muscles tore like butter! it didn’t even hurt when it happened. it tore so easily. I had only had my oversplits for a couple of weeks. I was so happy. now I gotta start over.

I’m recovering from a shoulder injury and it’s so frustrating. It’s been weeks and I’m only working on one side while it recovers but it’s going to take such a long time. I can’t push forward with some of the harder moves until it’s repaired so I feel your pain. My physio told me to work on all over body conditioning to stop my shoulder from overcompensating for a weakness somewhere else.

Yes it was same for me but your best going to a PT instead of a doctor they don’t seen to help much and maybe get some muscle inflammatory cream for your leg. It does take a while to heal it sounds like you have the same prob as I did. To strengthen my legs I was told to walk more when it gets a bit better. Gentle stretching and rest too helps as it heals but go easy on it until you see a PT. I hope this helps and I know how your feeling I really hope you get better soon 🙂
