International Pole Convention In LA June 22-24
I'm so excited about this! Who has been before? How was it? Was it worth the $$$? I am curious as to the cost of the workshops, seminars, all access convention pass etc. The site says nothing about prices. I have emailed the organizers for info and have heard nothing back. I have to start planning & stashing $$$ for the next few months if I am going to go because I am sure the passes and workshops are not cheap.
Also, any gals interested in maybe splitting the cost of a room for 2 nights? I'm looking for a roomie who is drama, drug & alcohol free (I am not into rooming w/heavy drinkers or people that can't handle their liquor). I'd love to room with someone too who is an advanced beginner or at intermediate level like I am, so we can maybe attend some of the workshops and seminars together at the same level :).
Who else is planning on attending??? I'd love to meet some Veeners!

Also do you all bring your hubby's to these conventions or do you make it a girls weekend only type thing? Just trying to figure out if I should just do this and take this as "me" time or bring the hubby. I kind of get the feeling I'll be so engulfed with pole workshops and seminars that if he came along it would be useless and he's just be sitting around by himself bored half the time. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Oh, my husband usually goes with me to competitions (as spectator LOL), special events, etc; however, this is going to be a "me" time.

My fellow polers and I went the first year in D.C. And last year in West Palm. Absolutely awesome and inspirational event! Plan to spend lots of money, but it is so worth it!

went to Palm Beach last year and had an absolute blast!. I did bring the hubby (who loved every moment of it, i mean what man wouldn't want to be around 100's of fit, beautiful women right?).
The workshops are a bit steep price wise, because i was a bit of a beginner, i didn't really think I would be up to par to benefit from them, but i had girlfriends who attended some and had a fantastic time 🙂
Hopefully we get to met up!

I need some ideas from you ladies on this – we're trying to provide all of you with things that you need at a convention to make your experience complete and your life easier.
What are some things that you think you might need at a convention? Especially those little things that you don't necessarily think of right off the bat but then when you get there, you really wished that you had certain items.
What things do you want/need at pole conventions? What did you wish they had last year that would have made it better? Just thought I'd get some ideas so that we can come prepared. 🙂

For me, it would be lots of POLES! And several crash mats for us to use for those of us who are still working on our inverted moves 😉 Also, some knee pads to use & plenty of grip aids available would be great too. A great giveaway promotional item for you guys if you can get them made for the event would be wristbands! They are lifesavers for polers and we always welcome getting a new set!

I didn't buy anything at the time b/c I was waiting for the some pole update you were having (I forget what it was) and the discount expired.
