  • Is glitter hairspray pole-safe?

    Hi all,

I would like to spray a skirt with glitter hairspray, but I'm worried it would come off on the pole and hinder performace, or get into the workings and damage it. Any ideas? 🙂

If pole performers had to stay away from glitter I think we all would be doomed……

That being said, glitter is the venereal disease of the craft world…you cannot get rid of that stuff….EVER!

I assume that you are wanting to use hairspray so that you can wash it off the skirt later?

I do know that many performers have used glitter on their bodies and makes a spray with glitter in it.  The bearings of a pole are sealed so I do not see that being an issue.  The only possible issues I could fathom is if you ended up leaving a lot of glitter on the pole and it would interfere with your grip.  But that would be a LOT of glitter.

I just was a pole cleaner a few weeks back and I made a fairy skirt that had glitter tulle.  There was a LOT of glitter every where I went but it did not mess up the performers.
