I got a TG x pole and it’s dirty…but the dirtiness can’t wipe off…it’s like discolored…and the base has bubbles…and th x’s don’t look like the x’s on my chrome…did I get a fake x pole?? I got it from the same vendor as my first one. :/ but this looks sad and not shiny and new. The “dirtiness” is hard to show in a pic

there is plastic wrap on the pole but not the base. i dont want to take the pole plastic wrap off in case it is a fake x pole….the bubbles seem really off for x poles usual quality but maybe this is something that happens during the plating/andonizing?

I can’t comment on the Xs or bubbling… But is the dirtiness from the plastic wrap?

The TG at my studio gets kind of dirty but always cleans up well. My hands leave a residue on it, like fingerprints. They do on my chrome too but it’s not as noticeable… It cleans off with alcohol though.

I haven’t looked closely at the base in the studio but 2 things that might put you at ease about the base… These are the new 2014 models so that may explain a change in Xs. And maybe the bases aren’t coated the same way because they don’t need to be grippy so it’s not as even of a finish?!? Just a thought.

One thing to look at… Xpole has limited stock. Is your vendor selling things that are not in stock on xpole? If They only have the same few combos of sizes and finishes that is a good thing, probably means they are real. Does that make any sense?!

Yeah they have the same sizes and finishes…the dirtiness is probably partially due to the plastic wrap…but the x joints look different too…like say “expand/contract” instead of “loosen/tighten” maybe this is a new thing with the newer x poles???

Scared to open the plastic in case I need to send it back… :/

I do think I saw a video on the x-pole site with expand and contract…
Remember when I was asking you about how to make sure the pole is tight enough but not too tight… I also went to the Xpole site and watched a video… I wonder if I can find it.

the hex key sizes are completely different than my first pole, theyre big and black too not the metal kind…the pole wasnt advertised as NX or i would have/should have gotten it cheaper

Aren’t all the Xperts NX now?

And, I have to say my gut says its real… I think the fakes are pretty obvious. Like parts are plastic, the dome is a different shape and they don’t even have xjoints… I could be wrong about that.

i have NO idea about the NX…. i figured i was just buying a 2013 or older model just cuz it didnt say that. but ok cool, thank you so much! that video pretty much answers my questions i think. i was just looking at the old video and my old pole and was confused and then the bubbling made me extra worried

Yeah, I totally get that. I bet they don’t like polish the base the same way or whatever because it’s not really needed, I’m sure they just coat it so that the color matches and call it a day.

Omg they are not playing games with this x joint. I put some serious muscle to even get it THIS contracted and it is NOT moving. Cruel jokes!!
