Okay so I know this isn’t something I can really complain about haha but my boyfriend and I have planned a trip to go backpacking in Thailand this summer for five weeks! Now I’m leaving in a week and I even have to leave the pole with the roommates until then so today’s my last day https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif and I’m reeeeeeeeeaaally excited for my trip, but at the same time I am worried that I will lose all my strength and skills during that time! Especially since I’ve only been poling for about two weeks now, but I really feel like I’ve made progress and I don’t want to lose it. I’m going to try to do some of the exercises that Veena shows in her lessons that don’t require a pole, but I don’t know how much time, space, etc I’m gonna have to do that while I’m gone…
Anyway does anyone have any further suggestions for staying fit and in practice without a pole, gym, or anything for so long? I really appreciate it!

wow thailand! i think you´ll probably have forgotton the pole by the 3rd day. lol. and if you´ll actually be backpacking you´ll be doing plenty of weight lifting especially as the bag gets heavier and heavier with souveneers !

what i am definately taking on my next holiday are elastic bands, like the kind you use in fisio therapy. don´t know what they´re called in english. i got mine at a sports shop where they come in packs of 3 levels of resistence (i´ve seen them in one shop where they had big rolls and they cut you how much you wanted).

anyway you can do most of the excersises you´d do with a pair of weights. the main thing to remember is not to focus only on stretching the elastic, it´s the letting go very slowly that really gives you the workout. and the best thing is one of them folded up will fit in your back pocket! you will need to sprinkle a bit of baby powder every so often so they don´t get all stuck together.

    hope this helps!
hugs and have a great time! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif frida https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
