it can also help to really imagine the line extending waaaaaay far past your toes. In Pilates one of the images they give us to help with extension is to pretend we are drawing with our big toe. for example, when we are on our backs and the leg is vertical, then we pretend we are drawing on the ceiling with our big toe. something about that imaginary reaching to draw on the ceiling or wall helps move from the core and straighten the legs

If you don’t happen to have hyperextended knees, you have to actively and focused engage the quad muscles to get rid of those annoying “bent knees” that I think you are talking about. It will make the knee-cap less visible if you do so. Then it’s easier to get good lines if you’re flexible as well of course. And yes, don’t forget the feet

I’m starting with the fit and bendy’s “bendy body” DVD and she also says to use muscle engagement like was mentioned above^

Hi! The lessons address leg lines often, but you may also want to check out the Lower Body Routine for even more help. 💜https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/52e9d171-5724-43b2-8784-47960a9aa0eb

There’s a couple of exercises on Pure Splits thay focuses on leg lines specifically. It’s probably worth noting that I have to work on my leg lines too and I do have hypermobile knee joints.

I did the lower body routine yesterday. I need to work on this. I’m tired of my instructors telling me to straighten my legs when they are as straight as they will go. my legs look bent behind the knee. I didn’t even realize this was something I could improve. I just though I was too meaty and only really thin people could achieve this…
