There was discussion a while back about these. We all see something and rush to get it because we think we will use it and it will make us super bendy. Honestly they do not do anything different or better than CONSISTENT stretching does. I can guarantee you that if you stretch at minimum 3 times a week that you will see increases like you would not think was possible. No piece of equipment is a miracle.

These machines look a little scary too me, kind of like medieval torture deviceshttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I think I would be afraid to use them. They seem like it would be easy to injure yourself if you push too far. I think resistance bands or partner stretching would also work well.

The machines are used to push you further exactly like partner stretching but for when you don’t have a partner. Couldn’t tell you a good brand but have heard good things about them. Stretching box splits I find really hard and I need a wall or partner stretching to push me further these use exactly the same concept. X

I’ve never used one, but I think they may help w/ people like me who are wimps to the tongue-numbing pain of stretching. It could possibly ensure I stay in position longer. I know I would absolutely love partner-assisted stretching as the cold dry-wall makes me do all the work myself and, therefore, goes too easy on me. lol

That was exactly my thinking, MissSKR. I've done assisted stretching, but it's hard to find someone good to do it with regularly. Plus….you're still at their mercy…one slight over reaction on their behalf and you are injured. And trying to do it on my own….has not worked, and not for a lack of discipline! I feel like I'd be able to relax more knowing I'm in full control of the pressure. Thanks Everyone https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I try to get my bf to stretch me but it hurts him as he has a poorly back. But prefer partner assisted so much more than on my own as I know I stretch further. The wall I find hard to push closer unless I go ubder our ballet bar and pull with my arms. I think the machines would be good but some are pretty expensive 🙁 x

You'd be better off just getting a foam roller and using that for stretching middle splits. I'm guessing it's far less expensive than a stretching machine!!

get some wooden crutches and make your own!
