Looking For A Photo Editing Program
Posted by luvlee on August 21, 2013 at 10:35 amHey Guys! I was wondering if any of you know of a good editing program for photos that can white out and black out the back ground of a pole photo. I tried to have a photo shoot at the beginning of the year and we hung a king size sheet but it was not as wide as my leg span so I did not use half of the pics. My husband has an awesome camera. He doesn't know much about angles and stuff but I am helping him. I would love to have another photo shoot and just be able to edit the pics on a user friendly program. Thanks for any ideas!!!

I have the same issue and have been looking everywhere for a photo app pr something to get rid of that too. I have a few pics that I I took recently that I want to post but I need to do something about the short sheet syndrome lol

I mean, we may just go get a few more sheets! Walmart would be a good place to go! I could even put one on the floor that way. It is a lot of work though. I am in such a small space and there is always cat toys and stuff all over the background of my pics! There has got to be a way! LOL!!!!

I use paper like this http://www.amazon.com/Savage-Seamless-Background-Paper-yards/dp/B001196MG0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1377103740&sr=8-3&keywords=photo+backdrop+paper
Paper works excellent because it doesn't have wrinkles and it creates a very uniform background. It can be hung from nearly anything from a set of stands to a curtain rod.
The uniformity makes editing afterwards very easy and if you are careful 107 inches should be fine for your legs, Veena only rarely ends up off the edge of the paper and she has sexy mile long legs.
As to editing the photos Photoshop is the bomb-diggety but is out of most people's budget, I only have it as I can deduct it as a business expense. The next best is probably something like GIMP which is free.
If Bob's camera supports wireless flashes make sure you are back lighting with a couple flashes shooting into the background from the sides. This will give you a nice shadow free background and keep your edges clean so you don't get the really defined edge you can get cutting away a shadow.
As to angles, try and keep your move parallel to the paper to get the best result, your photographer can't be moving around while you are trying to hold a move. Have Bob focus on your midsection for a very clean standard look or shoot from a lower anle to get more drama.
Good luck!!!!

Here is one example of where my foot kept hanging over and we added the fitted sheet but it fell and just looks terrible anyway.https://www.studioveena.com/photos/next/5153caf2-0d88-4149-988b-69f70ac37250

I use SumoPaint, and Pixlr to edit my photos and remove backgrounds with the wand tool ! They're all online, and free. I'll give you links! If you don't think it's weird, I'll use the picture you posted and see if I can edit the background out for you! (: I love editing pictures.
It's like free photoshop in your browser! (:

Something that will help with editing as well is to not wear anything clear or colored the same as your background. Auto selection tools have a hard time picking out borders when the color is similar.

I think it came out nice ! It gave me something to do while I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get out of class! The higher the resolution, and bigger the picture, the better it will come out. So if you have the original picture it'll work perfectly! The one I used is quite small, Make sure you save it as a .png file so the background stays transparent !
When I learn more moves, I can't wait to do mine! (:
