Does anyone have any tips for maintaining good momentum on spin mode without the spin being too fast at the beginning?
Like, how many tricks can you feasibly do as an intermediate poler without grinding to a halt or pushing off again from ceiling or floor?

The biggest thing to remember is the more fluid and sweeping you make your transitions the more you’ll maintain the spin. Every new lesson I’m uploading will have spinning pole in it. Watching those will help you understand how to control the spin. Also if you’re pole is too tight or if you use a lil mynx then the spin will slow much faster.

I’m replacing and adding to the Intermediate section this month.

Thanks, I think my problem is when I string several moves together (not on single moves) and climb back up after losing height- are my expectations too high?

It’s an Xpert and I don’t think it’s too tight.

Yes, when you do your transitions choose moves that keep you and your limbs moving out then in towards the pole. An extended butterfly will kill the spin every time.
