I know this one as split grip rubber aysha, but there might be other names for it too.
Can you do a SG straight edge? Cause that’s how I get into it. Straight edge, and then bend my legs, and slooowly arch my back. Be careful with the back-bending part!

I love this move! It’s awesome.

Can you do the rubber aysha with ebow or forearm grip? That’s how I comofortable doing it, I didn’t use a split or twisted grip until I had lots of practice on forearm and elbow grip.

I know this as the "archer". I agree with Charley about learning it from forearm or elbow grip first! i’ve been doing it with forearm grip (haven’t tried it with elbow yet), for several months, & i’m still waaaay too scared to try it with split grip yet! Make sure to engage your abs while doing this, & definitely make sure your grip is extremely secure, and don’t try to arch to your limit at first- it’s easy to lose balance!

This is the number one "Fell on my face and ass at same time" move. Not that I am even a year away from having anything like it, but it’s the one I always see bloopers for, so be super super careful super super plz!

I love this move, it is a perfect marriage of strength and grace. I gave it a try on my February challenge using twisted grip, but it looks nothing like that. My back is very straight, only my knees are bent. It’s very hard to get over the fear of falling out of the move if I arch my back. Does anyone know of a exercise to help get accustom to the feel of arching back without being high off hte ground?

I find though, the other split grip TG version gives way more stability

Of course it has to be you Sapphirecatzeye https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif who invented this move. How could we not know. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif It is gorgeous and backbreaking like all your signiture moves. Great job. LEVITATION it is https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif . Any tip on nailing this levitation move https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif I can do a split grip straight edge and ayasha split grip or twisted grip only.

I would suggest you start low enough to the ground , but not so low that gravity takes over and you flop back.
Pointing your toes and engaging your uh… butt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif will help you control your legs. the other trick is , to try and tilt your head UP towards the wall or just try to look up, and you will get a better U shape and hold it longer.
Hope that helps some!! its a tricky one, i def prefer doing it the split grip way.

Just fell out of this last week. came here to see what I did wrong. I think I tried to arch at my limit the first time and ended up falling back on my bent foot. Still not healed 🙁

No problem I am adjusting to my fitness boot camp routine right now so I am pretty busted. By then hopefully I  will be adjusted. Text me or shoot me and SV message whenever you are ready. I bet we have thought of fun things to share!
