MDF plate for stability?
Hey everyone…I’m new to poling and have recently received my X-Pole! However, I’m still a little nervous to use it as I have this fear that my ceiling will come crashing down! Lol..anyhow, just wondering if anyone here has used an MDF or plywood plate to secure to the ceiling joist and then put the upper Dome around it? I’m nervous because A: I’m a tall amazon woman who wants to use the pole a lot! and B: although my BF means well, I’m still not sure he put it up 100% centered on a joist. We have that damn popcorn ceiling, and it all sounds the same when doing the knock test and the joist finder doesn’t work. Any suggestions? I’m thinking of going into the attic to see exactly where the joists are and doing the plate. I get so excited to see everyone here doing so well! Hope to get some responses, and post some vids and info when I can. Thanks a bunch!
