  • Male/Female crotch difference?

Hey there. Just got my pole and came upon a tutorial for "wrist-sit". I decided to try it out, and it went fairly well I guess, once I was in the final position. But whilst getting up there, and not leaning back enough so as to prepare the spread (thus having my upper body more vertically aligned), I must say I did find it quite painful crotch-wise. Can one get around this male crotch problem somehow? Am I just simply doing the move with bad form, or do people with a sensitive crotch have a disadvantage, or are unable to perform some moves even?

The wrist seat and the tail spin (bum slide…all of the crotch moves) are not supposed to be dead on.  You want to get somewhere between the crease and the upper/back thigh.  This is a good illustration of the position:

Once you get more familiar with the move you can move it more towards the center just because you learn how to properly get in and out of it without rolling on the tender bits.

chem I don't know where you found that photo, but it pretty much sums up how I felt when I first learned this move. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Michelle Mynx's students (all her classes are co-ed) jokingly refer to the 'squeaky toy test'. If a woman were to put a squeaker in her crotch then do the move, would it squeak? If so, then there needs to be some adjustment for a male to do it…But usually it just involves careful positioning.

So just find a willing female pole buddy to put a squeaky toy in her bottoms… That's a totally normal thing to ask, right?

Also good supportive underwear helps. My boyfriend poles on occasion and swears by andrew christian boxer briefs. Keeps everything tucked up nicely and easy to move out of the way.

My husband refuses to try any sort of pole trick other than a flag for this reason… I always tell him it hurts just as much to bash your lady bits on the pole, and ideally it should not be happening for either sex!

Oh well… his flag is a lot better than mine, and so are his handstands! Maybe someday he can do handsprings or a split grip invert into extended butterfly. ðŸ˜›

Lets just say that I learned that lesson the hard way. Fabric burn on the girly button = burning where you don't want burning.

Well there you go  judging from that picture it might as well be called "bull-rider". That way, I wouldn't have to worry about writing "wrist-slit". 😛

I usually wear boxers, but I can't say that it's the type of underwear that keeps things in place very much, quite the opposite, which is why it's comfy! Now female underwear on the other hand, when tight, really keeps things in place, but is perhaps not quite as comfy.

Aerial: Where WOULD you want burning? 😛 In the muscles? ;P

Didn't Joel say he wears like 3 pairs of briefs for padding? Or was that one of the other guys around here…
