Hi there, I've been poling a a lil over a year and am advanced level so my understanding of pole is pretty good. My bf is interested in doing doubles with me but I need to teach him from the beginning. Are there any certain things male polers cant do that females can? Different climb technique or sitting? Not to get too personal but do you wear some type of protection so your parts dont bash into the pole? Im not quite sure where to start with him, was hoping you guys could help me out. This is open for females who have experience and knowledge with this as well. Thanks

First of all awww that's so cute your bf wants to do doubles with you! I can't even get mine to touch it nevermind doing doubles with me -_- From the male polers I've met I've noticed that they pick up the strength moves right off the bat, I've known some that just do an iron x in their first lesson. Flexibility is often an issue with guys unless they have a gymnastic/dance background but if you guys do a strength/flex double act (where 1 is the 'anchor' that holds the other who does all the flex moves) it should work out great πŸ™‚ But maybe he could be a unique poler in which he has great flexibility AND strength πŸ˜€

He used to be flexible before I met him but hes not anymore. Every time we talk about it its usually the anchor idea. For fun sometimes I'll hang off of his arm or lift myself using his arms as my grabbing point. We want to try some of this on the pole πŸ™‚ I dont know what positions are best to anchor him in though lol

My fiancé has been doing pole with us and mostly he does the same stuff we do. He wears tight undies, like high performance work out stuff, but no protective gear. He does have to shave his hairy monkey legs to get grip though! And he learns everything really fast cause he has that inherent upper body strength going for him. Check out PoleRanking.com and watch some of the male performers for ideas on styling.

I can't speak for all men, but I personally didn't need a protective cup. Good poling garments  keeps the man business out of harms way. His natural body awareness will let him know if and when he needs to adjust to the pole. The biggest challenge that I faced is flexibility in my lower back and in the gracilis muscle group (inner thigh). Toe pointing is something small but should be emphasized on. I will admit I didn't get it at first but now I do. What I have seen in Male polers and in myself is that silent masculine vs feminine approach to pulling off the moves and setting up performances. In the now I have lessoned ability to go their with myself and just let everything sensual strong and poised. If he's not hung up on those than in my mind he shall do fine with anything you throw at him.
