I’ve had to move three times in the past four years because of work. Is there a pole finish out there that performs well regardless of climate?

My details: beginner, just seven hours of lessons so far, but completely addicted! My studio uses chrome and I’ve not had the chance to use anything else. I have ichthyosis vulgaris (extremely dry, scaly skin even in high humidity). Dermal Therapy lotions (from Canada) help me LOADS but I still have to occasionally wipe flakes of skin off the base of the pole after lessons. I don’t sweat except on my face and soft spots like under my breasts and arms.

(Yes, it’s a b*tch and I was tremendously unhappy about it growing up. I’m much better now thanks to theatre and my brilliant husband!)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Brass brass brass. I have trouble with all other finishes. I suffer from eczema (the dry scaly type, not the wet oozy type) and my skin is dry all the time. SS is impossible. Chrome is only good in hot humid climates. TG is okay in the summer but winter is no different from chrome. But brass I LOVE.

Thanks, moonflower! When I started the lessons, I thought my dry, rough hands would grip better. I was wrong ^_^;; Plus it doesn’t help that I currently have the upper body and arm strength of a bowl of pudding.
