    Dear all.
I’m moving into a new apartment and want to get an X-pole. It looks like the floor is parquet and the ceiling is a solid slab. I’m not too clued up on construction, but this is an older building and it looks like a solid ceiling. How likely is it that I’ll need a stud finder?
I’m in Turkey and so it’s not a culture where I can ask a handyman or explain to someone what I’m up to! 🙂
    Thanks.

Sorry I don’t have an answer about the ceiling. But I did ask a handyman for my apartment and just said I wanted to hang one of those hanging chair/swing things so wanted to make sure it was safe. 🙂

Solid slab, as in cement? If so you can put your x-pole anywhere, if you are looking to install a permanent mount, you’ll have to get a special drill bit that be used with the cement, you won’t need a stud finder at all. (:
I miss my old apartment that had cement ceilings, it was much more secure for poling than the one I’m in now.

Sorry, I read your question wrong! The permanent mount that I mentioned is optional, if you are just looking to buy the x-pole and use the dome it comes with you won’t have to drill or install anything, it’s tension mounted which is great for apartments as it won’t leave damage. As far as the floors, the base of the pole has a rubber non-slip pad attached so no worries there. (: no stud finders, or drilling! Lol
