Hi Veeners! I don’t come on here as much as I used to but I just wanted to share with all of you that we are getting married and moving to Sydney! If there are any polers in the area please reach out or comment back as I will know exactly zero people when we move there >_< On another note, this gives me the opportunity to dye my hair a fun color! I'll get it done at a salon first go, but veena you had posted awhile back about how you keep your hair so bright and I was wondering if you could post that again? Especially because you dye it yourself? Thanks all for any help getting connected in Aus! I'm so excited to be in such a kick ass country for pole and otherwise!

I’m so jealous. I would love to train pole in Australia. ☺ 💖 I wish you all the best!

I’m in Sydney! Happy to show you around or introduce you at Sydney Pole 🙂 Do you have an idea of where you might be located?

Super exciting! Congrats on getting married, and on the move, as well!
I happen to know that there are a few pole dancing studios out there… Bobbi’s Pole Studio is a pretty famous one! It’s where Felix Cane trained.
Keep us posted on how things go! Hope you have lots of fun!!

    Thank you guys!!

@baudelaire – we’re not sure yet, the company is putting us up for a month while we find a place to live. The places we’ve liked best so far and are reasonably affordable seem to mostly be in Surry Hills. We won’t have a car and my fiancé’s (weird to say!) job is in The Rocks? He says its basically like CBD but I’m not sure. We’re trying to stay in close-ish proximity to his work or at be close to a train station so we won’t have to mess with busses a whole lot. I’m feeling gutted at the prospect of losing my home pole, but really excited to see all of the studios in Sydney! Do you go to a studio or are you strictly a home poler?

I train at Sydney Pole in Camperdown, but also have a pole at home.
In Surry Hills your closest studio would be Studio Verve, and Sky Sirens which do pole and lyra. then Pole Dance Academy is in Redfern, and Bobbi’s in the CBD.
All have a different feel so you’d be able to find a class and instructor that you mesh well with.
Pretty exciting to moving country! Let me know if you have any more questions 🙂

Lucca, I already sent my congrats to you on IG but wanted to say it again. It looks like there are some really cool studios in Australia and I’m dying to go to Bondi Beach after seeing it on IG so much. I’m afraid we don’t have parks like that in Ohio. 🙁

I also wanted to say that Sky Sirens is the coolest effin name for a studio!!

    Ah that’s super exciting! Congrats!!!

As far as my hair goes, I have naturally dark brown almost black hair so I bleach it first, then add the color. If you don’t bleach first you won’t get bright results, unless you have very blonde hair (I wish!!). The brand of color I use now is Arctic Fox, the color isn’t damaging and has conditioners in it that leave hair feeling soft so the only damaging aspect is the bleaching. I try not to overlap on to previously lightened hair when I redo my roots.

To keep color bright stay out of the sun, don’t wash it too often, but if your hair is oily it will fad the color too. lol You can also put a small amount of the dye in your conditioner to keep the color fresh. Colors like red, pink and purple seem to last the longest, blues and greens fade quickly! I hope you share pics with us when you do color your hair. 🙂
