Hey guys! I know everyone is always saying how its not good to train for flexibility more than like, 2 or 3 times a week unless you've been training for like years. But I was wondering if it would be okay to do it more than 3 times a week, if each time you stretched a different part? Like on Monday, do hamstrings and quads, then wednesday hip flexors, friday back and shoulders, etc, for example.

    Any thoughts? Thanks!

I think it stays with how you feel after you train more than 3 times a week. If you feel your flexibility doesn't reduce and if you feel you're not sore, then it should be ok.

For me, I must take more breaks. I've done flexi training for 4 years now. Previously one day train, one day rest. Now I need 2 days rest as I feel I over trained. I found out in horror my flexo did not improve much.

I read from a contortion website which says if we stop one day, our flexo sets back 7 days so I was worried. But just me that I can't train everyday.

I was wondering this too,  I did Veena's stretches for ~6mths, 2x/week then upped it to everyday…now I went back to every other day because I was hearing everyone talk about over stretching…but now reading beginner2's post on the contortion site…I'm worried and wondering if I should go back to everyday….

Anywho, maybe this thread will help:
