So, I looked around, but I didn’t find any particular "music" thread, so I thought I would start one!
My normal type of music for…well, for just about everything is electronic. It seems to just cover all the bases for me, depending on how I feel! Sometimes, though, I find I’m just not feeling it from my current stuff…and thus begins the great music hunt!
So, what kinds of music do you girls and guys like to dance to? Any favourite songs to recommend? Do you have particular playlists that you just put on and dance to, or is it more that you go with one song in particular for one dance without changing? Heavy bass, or more emphasis on the melody?

I dance to everything. I have no preference at all. LOL

I use an app on my iphone called pandora and you can enter an artist or a song and it will play music similar to that, so when I dance whatever song or artist is on my mind….I enter that and then go for it. For example….’Hmmm….I like this Beyonce song" enter Beyonce and it will play her music and other music in the same or similar genre.

My mood alternates….and so does my music https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Ohhh…. I <3 Pandora. It’s the main reason my Pre’s always out of juice at work.

I’ll dance to anything if I like it. I have a VERY wide range of musical tastes.

Ah! I tried Pandora for a while, but it got wise to what I was doing…apparently Canadian laws state I’m not allowed to listen to something like Pandora, so I was using a mask to pretend to the website that I was in the states…
    Oh well!
Right now, I’ve got some major hankering for some pop music, like Sexy back (I’ve got a rock version of it, actually) or something else with lyrics!

I like all sorts of different music and have started just making a pole playlist for my ipod. I like music to match my mood so it depends how I feel. I’m really new to this so I find music with a slower beat works for me at the moment, if its too fast i dont know what to do with myself, i guess the slower music gives me time to plan and think.lol

I’ve just rediscovered a 1960’s torch singer named Julie London. I remember her from when she used to play a nurse on a TV show called "Emergency" back in the 70’s. She sings classics like "C’mon a My House" and "Blues in the Night" and "Watermelon Man" in such an unbelievably slinky, sexy way that you just melt as you move to them. I found her stuff on iTunes and I LOVE it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

    I’ll check out Julie London

Here are my favorites as of late:

If I were a Boy- Beyonce
    In these shoes- Kristin McColl
    Feeling Good- Nina Simone
    After Dark- Tito and Tarantula

I’m mostly a country fan, unfortunately, there isn’t much to dance to there
John Anderson’s Don’t Ask Her on a Straight Tequlia Night works…

    Julie

My daddy introduced me to a little band called Black Sabbath when I was around 3 years old and I’ve been rockin ever since! I really like the slow, creepy, heavy sound, it really allows me slow it down and really get into it! I also really love dancing to the blues (now that is some music that can rockyour soul!) or music with a blues influence like jimi Hendrix <3 the doors <3 Jefferson airplane <3 and pink Floyd just to name a few. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

If your not really into the 70’s ish stuff, my favorite band of all time is Alice in Chains! Some great songs to try are Rotten apple, sludge factory, shame in you, love hate love, and frogs.

    Enjoy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif rock on
